Stable buttercream for hot or humid weather
Imagine spending the whole day baking a beautiful cake, and then you
bring it to an outdoor summer event and oh no!--it starts to warp from the heat.
Even seasoned bakers have experienced the pain of a masterpiece falling apart. That's why we went looking for a buttercream recipe that can resist the heat for several hours during outdoor events, where the temperature is simply out of our control.
Without further ado, here's a delicious vanilla buttercream recipe that works for hot or humid weather.
You need:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temp
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
2 tbsp whipping cream
A big splash of Vainilla Molina Clear
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp meringue powder
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Directions:

Cream butter and shortening with a hand mixer set to medium-high for about 7 minutes.

Incorporate whipping cream and keep beating.

Add a big splash of Vainilla Molina Clear!

Mix in salt, meringue powder, and powdered sugar one at a time, and then beat again for another minute until fully incorporated.
