BAKED BANANA FRENCH TOAST
INGREDIENTS
For glaze:
1⁄2 cup unsalted butter
3⁄4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
A big splash of Vainilla Molina
5 sliced bananas
For the filling:
6 eggs
3⁄4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1⁄4 tsp nutmeg
A big splash of Vainilla Molina
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup milk
1 loaf French bread, cubed
To decorate:
Powdered sugar
1 banana
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
2. Over medium-high heat, melt butter and mix in brown sugar, cinnamon and Vainilla Molina.
3. Bring to a simmer and add sliced bananas and set aside.
4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, Vainilla Molina, whipping cream and milk.
5. Add French bread cubes and stir gently until bread has absorbed all the liquid.
6. Pour mixture into a greased mold and cover with banana and sugar glaze.
7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and slightly crisp around edges and top.
8. Let cool.
9. Garnish with powdered sugar and banana slices.
