APPLE STRUDEL
INGREDIENTS
Dough:
1 sheet puff pastry
Filling:
3 apples
1/2 cup walnuts
3/8 cup unsalted butter
A big splash of Vainilla Molina Clear
7 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
1/2 cup raisins
Extras:
Flour for surface
Melted butter for glazing
Powdered sugar for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Dough:
1. Roll out puff pastry with a rolling pin on a smooth, clean space; sprinkle with flour so it doesn't stick.
2. Preheat oven to 356 °F / 180 °C .
Filling:
3. Cut apples into medium cubes.
4. In a bowl, mix apples with sugar, butter, walnuts, cinnamon, raisins and salt.
5. Add a splash of Vainilla Molina Clear and stir.
6. Pour filling in center of rolled dough leaving 1.5 inches from edges.
7. Cut 1 inches strips and pass them from one side to the other to form a braid.
8. Brush with melted butter.
9. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Remove from oven and let cool 15 minutes before slicing.
11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
