Our top 3 aguas frescas made with a big splash of Vainilla Molina
There's nothing better for the heat than a deliciously refreshing, ice-cold agua fresca!
They're super popular in Mexico, as they're a major cultural icon. You can get them at plazas, fairs, parks, restaurants and from street vendors.
Their flavor is delicious and fresh, since they're prepared with natural fruits. The most famous flavors are: horchata, lime, lemon, hibiscus, tamarind and melon. They're all equally delectable--and really easy to make!
Today, we're sharing our 3 favorite agua fresca recipes, each made with a big splash of Vainilla Molina (of course!).
The first recipe is creamy melon agua fresca.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 can condensed milk
4 cups cold water
Pulp of 1/2 melon
A big splash of Vainilla Molina
3 cups ice
Preparation:
1. Blend all ingredients except for ice.
2. Add ice to 3 glasses and pour your agua fresca into them
3. Enjoy!
Note: You can blend the ice if you want a frappé-like texture.
Note 2: If you're not a fan of pulp, pour the agua fresca into your glass through a small mesh strainer.
The 2nd recipe is banana agua fresca.
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas
4 cups cold water
A big splash of Vainilla Molina
1 cinnamon stick
2 tbsp sugar (optional)
2 cups ice
Preparation:
1. Remove peel from bananas and blend with water and Vainilla Molina.
2. Place hot water, cinnamon stick & sugar (if you added it) and let stand for 5 minutes.
3. Add cinnamon infusion to banana water.
4. Blend with ice cubes and serve!
Note: You can also strain mixture and serve.
The third recipe is fresh, creamy orangeade agua fresca.
Ingredients:
Juice of 5 oranges
3 cups chopped pineapple
2 cups coconut cream
A big splash of Vainilla Molina
3 cups ice
Preparation:
1. Blend all ingredients except for ice.
2. Add ice to glasses and pour your agua fresca into them.
3. Enjoy!
Note: You can blend the ice if you want a frappé-like texture
